A unique opportunity for 13-16 year olds to study on Saturday mornings free of charge.
On Saturday mornings for up to 30 weeks this year, 13-16 year olds around the country will head to their local college, university or museum to learn new techniques, handle new materials and develop new skills as part of our nationally recognised network of Saturday clubs. The clubs are always free to attend and focus on nurturing talent from all backgrounds. Ravensbourne University is running a National Fashion & Business Saturday Club. This programme is punctuated by three national moments: a London Visit, a Masterclass and our prestigious Summer Show at Somerset House. A limited number of places are still available at your local club, which is run by expert staff with the support of a small, dedicated team at the Saturday Club Trust. The National Fashion & Business Saturday Club at Ravensbourne covers a variety of design methods and materials, as well as fashion photography, styling, and insights into the business of trend forecasting, marketing and retail. Week by week, Club members will explore the fashion industry, trying out various techniques, compiling their own 'lookbooks', visiting key sites of interest and addressing current issues including sustainability and ethical resourcing. |
